Under the British Council’s RIDS Programme, students of Classes 9, 10, and 11 were divided into three research groups to explore the scoring systems of Hockey, Judo, and Boxing. They mathematically analysed and compared the metrics from India, Brazil, and Japan, highlighting the fascinating interplay between numbers and global sports. The activity culminated in a collaborative, visually engaging infographic-based PowerPoint presentation titled “Mathematics in Global Sports: A Comparative Study of the Numbers Behind the Game.”

*Annual Sports Festival 2025–26 at Shakuntala School* A grand two-day Annual Sports Celebration was organized on 12th and 13th December 2025 in the well-decorated premises of Shakuntala School. *The Chief Guests of the programme were Honorable Mrs. Kalpana Swami Ji (Divisional Assistant, Sports Department, Durg) and Honorable Mr. Rustam Sarang Ji (Deputy Superintendent of Police, State Police Service, Durg)*. The programme was presided over by Mr. Sanjay Ojha Ji, Director of Shakuntala Group of Schools. The event commenced with the lighting of the lamp, invocation, lighting of the sports torch, and hoisting of the flag. *Our Respected Principal Sir Mr. Vipin Kumar delivered the welcome address and Motivated the Students.* Student contingents of the school houses performed a march past, and the house leaders were administered the oath. After the welcome dance, the sports activities were formally inaugurated. On the first day, students from Nursery to Class 5 enthusiastically participated in various sports activities and drill dances. On the second day, students from Classes 6 to 12 showcased impressive performances in drill dance, relay race, ring jump, tug of war, and several other games, along with group dances. *On both days of the Annual Sports Day, the enthusiastic participation of parents alongside their wards in various games was a particularly delightful.* In his address, the Chief Guest appreciated the enthusiasm of the students and praised the school management for its efforts toward the all-round development of students and nation-building.

⭐ “ *Celebrating Young Champions, Creating Lifelong Memories!”* ⭐ *Sports Day Celebration –* ( First Day --Nursery to Class 5) The two-day Sports Day celebration commenced today with tremendous enthusiasm and excitement. The event began with a graceful Welcome Dance, followed by energetic Drill Performances by the students that set a vibrant tone for the day. A variety of sports events were conducted, including several eye-catching activities that saw enthusiastic participation from parents as well. Their involvement added warmth, joy, and a spirited energy to the celebration. The Chief Guest, *Mrs. Kalpana Swami(Divisional Assistant Director Sports Department, Durg),* praised the school’s discipline and admired the colourful and well-coordinated performances. *Our Honourable Director Sir’s inspiring address* on the true spirit of sportsmanship elevated the energy of the event and motivated every student. *The programme concluded with the inspiring message: Start strong, finish stronger.*

Under the British Council’s RIDS Programme, our young learners explored the theme Animal Care in India, Australia, and Kenya. After their virtual and real-time visits to the animal kingdom, the following activity was conducted on 21.11.25 Class 2- Designed calendars on animal care Class 3 - Research on animal care. This meaningful task enhanced their understanding of empathy, conservation, and global awareness.

Under the British Council’s RIDS Programme, our young learners embarked on an enlightening Realistic Zoo Tour on 22 November at Maitri Garden. The excursion immersed them in the vibrant realm of wildlife as they explored diverse ecosystems and observed captivating animal behaviour. They also gained insights into exemplary animal-care practices across India, Australia, and Kenya. This experiential learning journey fostered empathy, strengthened their understanding of conservation, and instilled a deep sense of stewardship for our planet’s treasured species. The tour proved truly inspirational, encouraging children to cherish the splendour and ecological importance of wildlife.
