Under the British Council’s RIDS Programme, students of Classes 9, 10, and 11 were divided into three research groups to explore the scoring systems of Hockey, Judo, and Boxing. They mathematically analysed and compared the metrics from India, Brazil, and Japan, highlighting the fascinating interplay between numbers and global sports. The activity culminated in a collaborative, visually engaging infographic-based PowerPoint presentation titled “Mathematics in Global Sports: A Comparative Study of the Numbers Behind the Game.”
